The Serpent™ Inflatable Flood Barrier is an air-filled flood control tube built for large-scale flood threats. It’s designed for speed and convenience, making it a strong option when wide areas need protection.
A 30' Serpent tube inflates in about 12 to 18 minutes, and sections connect with a Velcro seaming section to create longer barriers. Tubes are available in 15' and 30' lengths and protect against water levels up to 3' high.
Serpent helps hold back and redirect water during heavy rain, severe storms, river flooding, and flash floods. After the water recedes, the tubes deflate, roll up, and store compactly on pallets, making them easy to transport and ready for future flooding events.
Serpent is a practical addition to emergency plans for buildings, facilities, and municipalities.
How Serpent™ Works
1. Pressure Creates Support
Flowing water over the skirt of the Serpent™ will serve as ballast, keeping the Serpent™ inflatable flood barrier positioned securely when protecting against flooding
2. Damming Ability
The damming ability of the Serpent™ is up to around 40” of flooding, making this one of the highest off-the-shelf flood barriers available.
3. Ability to Connect
Serpent™ tubes can be fastened together into a longer inflatable flood protection barrier, using included velcro tube connector sheets.
