The Mayim™ MAX Flood Barrier is a modular flood control system designed to protect buildings and facilities from higher water levels. It stores compactly and takes up minimal space, so it’s ready to deploy quickly when flooding is on the way.
Setup is simple. Sections are laid side by side and connected with an insert-and-lock system, with no extra tools or materials needed. An extended flap along the base conforms to uneven ground, and flexible curve pieces let the barrier adjust to any angle. This makes it easy to fit the barrier around entryways, building perimeters, and irregular spaces.
As water rises against the barrier, its weight anchors the panels in place and strengthens their hold. The more the water rises, the better the barrier holds it back. Mayim MAX stops and redirects water during heavy rain, severe storms, river flooding, and flash floods, and offers a protection height of 40" for more severe flood threats. After the water recedes, the panels can be packed up and reused for future flooding events.
Mayim MAX is a practical addition to emergency plans for buildings, facilities, and municipalities.
How Mayim Works
1. Water Pressure Creates Support
As floodwater presses against the standing wall, that pressure anchors the barrier firmly to its base. The base also channels away any water that seeps through, preventing pressure from building up behind the barrier.
2. Sealing Off Leakage
Foam seals along the front underside help limit leaks and seepage while the barrier is deployed.
3. Damming Ability
The Mayim MAX wall stands 40" tall. For best results, water should stay at least 1" below the top of the barrier, making it suitable for floods up to roughly 38".
4. Conforms to Uneven Surfaces
An extended PVC flap conforms to uneven ground, and the flaps of neighboring panels fasten together with heavy-duty Velcro. When not in use, the flaps snap closed against the unit.
