The Sea Sponge™ Dewatering and Drainage Pump removes standing water from flat surfaces, pumping it down to just 0.04". That’s low enough to clear even small puddles. It’s especially useful behind flood barriers, where it removes rainwater and seepage that collect on the protected side and sends the water back over the barrier.
Setup is simple. Prime the pump with at least 85 oz of water, place it at the lowest point of the area, and attach a standard ¾" garden hose. The discharge port can be positioned vertically or horizontally to suit the space. A built-in check valve holds the prime, so you can move the pump from one puddle to the next without restarting. A flap valve prevents water from flowing back through the pump, and internal air circulation keeps it cool, allowing it to run dry for extended periods.
The 2/3 HP pump moves up to 45 gallons per minute, depending on hose length, with a maximum head of 39'. It runs on a standard 110V outlet or generator and can be used indoors or outdoors. Built with durable materials including stainless steel, urethane rubber, and silicon carbide seals, it’s designed for continuous operation and requires minimal maintenance. An optional Surface Level Switch can turn the pump on and off automatically when water is detected.
