Different emergency situations require different types of personal protection. Personal Protection Equipment is essential whether your are a first responder, someone working at a dangerous job site, or a regular citizen preparing for the unexpected. Keeping yourself safe and protected not only helps you, but allows you to help or assist others. Exposure to viruses, exposure to dangerous chemicals, bodily injury, and low visibility accidents are all dangers that can be minimized or prevented with the appropriate personal protection equipment and preparation. Don't take chances and unnecessary risks...make sure you are personally protected with the proper equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about emergency PPE, from NIOSH certifications and OSHA requirements to what you actually need for workplace safety and CERT response — because you can't help anyone else if you're not protected first.

What PPE should be in a workplace emergency kit?

Baseline workplace PPE: N95 or KN95 masks, safety goggles, nitrile gloves, work gloves, a high-visibility vest, and ear protection. Higher-risk workplaces add hard hats, respirators (P100 or APR), and chemical splash protection.

Are your N95 masks NIOSH-certified?

Yes. All N95 masks we sell carry NIOSH approval and display the NIOSH approval number on the mask. We do not sell counterfeit or non-NIOSH masks.

Do I need safety glasses, a hard hat, AND a vest for CERT response?

Yes. Standard CERT PPE includes all three: safety goggles (not just glasses), an ANSI-rated hard hat, and an ANSI 107 Class 2 safety vest.

What is the OSHA requirement for PPE availability in a workplace?

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.132 requires employers to assess workplace hazards and provide appropriate PPE at no cost to employees. Specific requirements vary by hazard type (eye, respiratory, fall protection, etc.).
