The EP-FLEX4Z Deluxe Emergency Backpack from Essential Packs is the ultimate emergency preparedness backpack. It is designed by professionals to keep supplies well organized, easy to access, and to provides logs of storage capacity. This emergency backpack is made of rugged Non-Toxic 600D PVC (which is stronger and more water resistance than Nylon). It's comfortable to wear with its padded and adjustable shoulder straps and supports a wide range of emergency preparedness applications.
The EP-FLEX4Z Deluxe Emergency Backpack features 8 storage compartments and accommodates a total of 6 removable pouches (optional). 2 removable pouches with clear tops and 4 large pouches with clear tops. Storage Compartment Details:
Main Compartment:
This high-capacity rectangular compartment holds large items and can even accommodate a hard hat and then some. (When the optional Hard Hat Net is not being used). The zippered door provides easy and full access to the entire compartment including access to the document/clipboard compartment and 2 optional removable pouches (that attach with Velcro). There is also an elastic pencil holder loop and 3 elastic straps for securing supplies. Dimensions are 12" W x 18" H x 7" D. Capacity is 1,512 square inches.
Left Side Upper Compartment:
This square zippered side pocket accommodates smaller items and features a key ring loop and a Carabiner for securing an emergency set of keys. Dimensions are 7” W x 7” H x 1.5” D. Capacity is 73.5 square inches.
Left Side Lower Compartment:
This square zippered side pocket accommodates smaller items. Dimensions are 7” W x 7” H x 1.5” D. Capacity is 73.5 square inches.
Right Side Upper Compartment:
This square zippered side pocket accommodates smaller items. Dimensions are 7” W x 7” H x 1.5” D. Capacity is 73.5 square inches.
Right Side Lower Compartment:

Front Upper Compartment:
This rectangular compartment can accommodate medium sized supplies. Dimensions are 8.5” W” x 6” H” x 1.5” D. Capacity is 76.5 square inches.
Front Lower Compartment:
This rectangular compartment can accommodate small to medium sized supplies and has an elastic net and 6 elastic straps for securing small items. Dimensions are 8.5” W” x 6” H” x 1.5” D. Capacity is 76.5 square inches.
Internal Document Compartment:
This zippered compartment is designed to hold a clipboard and up to 80 pages of documents. Accommodates documents that are 8.5” x 11”.
EP-FLEX4 Deluxe Backpack Options:
Small Removable Pouch - 2 Attach with Velcro to the Inside of the Main Door on the FLEX4 Backpack (Optional):
This removable zippered pouch attaches securely with Velcro to the inside of the main compartment door. It has a clear see-through top which makes it easy to identify its contents. Dimensions are 8” W x 4” H x 1” D. Capacity is 32 square inches.
Large Removable Pouch - 4 Can Fit Inside the Main Compartment of the FLEX4 Backpack (Optional):
This removable zippered pouch fits inside the main compartment of the FLEX Backpack. Up to 4 of these pouches can be stacked inside the main compartment making it easy to organize and access supplies. This pouch has a clear see-through top which makes it easy to identify its contents. It also has a legend insert (business card sized) that allows you to label the contents of the pouch for easy identification. In addition, this pouch has a convenient carrying handle. This pouch measures 11” W x 4" H x 6” D. Capacity is 264 square inches.
Waterproof Rain Cover (Optional):
This rain cover is 100% waterproof and protects your backpack and it's supplies in rain, storms, and hurricanes. It also features highly visible "EMERGENCY" printing on the front. An essential accessory to protect your emergency supplies in wet and stormy climates.
Hard Hat Net (Optional):
The optional hard hat net allows a hard hat to be secured the outside front of the EP-FLEX4 Emergency Backpack saving valuable space in the main compartment. The elastic helmet net is secured to the backpack using the 4 built-in attachment points. A helmet can easily be inserted or removed from the helmet net without obscuring access to the main backpack compartment. In addition, the backpack can be worn, carried, or stored normally with a helmet inserted into the net.
Customize this Backpack:
This backpack can be customized in three different ways.
1. You can slide any business card sized label (3.5" x 2") into the insert on the top of the backpack.
2. Select one of our pre-printed cards or have us create a full color printed card for you and slide it into the Flex Label area on the inside of the lower front pouch.
3. Have us silkscreen your company logo or slogan to the top front pocket of the backpack.
