  • Description+-

These Fuel Disks are made from cedar and highly-refined wax, Perfect for use in the Essential Packs Emergency Stove. They are designed to burn for up to 30 minutes, can be extinguished and re-lit, and can boil water in less than 5 minutes.

These Fuel Disks are designed to light easily and to burn hot. Since most meals take less than 15 minutes to cook, they are a perfect solution as an emergency source of heat for cooking. These Fuel Disks can also be used...

    • as a fire starter
    • as an emergency fuel source when hiking, camping or in the outdoors
    • as an emergency heat source during cold weather
    • as a dry, easy-to-burn fuel when its windy, rainy or snowy
    • as a way to boil water
    • as an air freshener for the car (do not light in the car)

TO LIGHT: Using a match, light the edge of the fuel cell (in windy conditions, try breaking off a piece of the fuel cell and lighting it on top of the remaining fuel disk).

TO EXTINGUISH: You can extinguish the flame by smothering the fuel cell to remove its source of oxygen. When cooking with the Stove In A Can, simply place the lid back on top of the Stove In A Can.

TO RE-LIGHT: You can easily re-light the fuel cell by placing a match on top of the previously burned area.

Important: CARBON MONOXIDE & FIRE HAZARD. These Fuel Disks consume Oxygen and produce Carbon Monoxide Gas which is poisonous and has no odor.  Use only in well ventilated areas and do not use in an enclosed space such as inside a home, camper, tent, or car.

      Fuel disks

      Posted by Chrys on 07-23-2022

I like that they are easily and safely storable. I have not tried them out as they are part of my emergency kit. The description of the fuel disk says they can be used in the stove-in-a-can, which I have. I was a bit surprised that these disks are much smaller than the ones that come with the stove so I'm hoping they will work fine.
